Herbie is an anthropomorphic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle. He can think, has his own mind and capable of driving by himself. Herbie appears in several film, starting The Love Bug (1969), he manage to Herbie Rides Again (1974), Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo (1977), Herbie Goes Bananas (1980), The Love bug TV Movies 91997) and las appearance is in Herbie : Fully Loaded (2005) (source Wikipedia).

This model is popular around Hot Wheels collector in Indonesia, at least until a month ago, the price for this item can be twice compare its standard price in Indonesia. I remember when I bought this item for my friend, I got it for forty five thousand rupiahs (more expensive about twenty thousand rupiahs compare to standard price in Indonesia). Although the price goes down by mean time, this item still targeted by collector. You are lucky enough if you find this item in a shop.

We move into the model. I can say this is a good made item by Hot Wheels brand, it is very similar to the real one. at the side or door, we can see its typical 53 number, a thick line above the 53 tampo and its small wheels with one door. At front view of this model we can see another 53 tampo two line with red and blue color, a cute lamp that fused from based and a bumper (also fused from a base). This model has two holes in its front-top structure as a lamps and has high pitched part from its based to cover the hole, make perfect for front lamps.

At the rear view of this model, it has a bumper, same with front bunper, the bumper is fused from the base, a small and transparent window, another 53 tampo, a red line and a blue line, this line is connected from rear to the front view. Different with front lamp, I see that rear lamps are dummy only, it's only obstrusive part and colored by red. I don't see anything special from its rear view. Next we move inti this base, This model uses metal as its based. May be Hot Wheels want to make it heavier by putting metal as its base, since if it uses plastic base may be very light for its small body.
